Aerodynamically Engineered Flared Design

700K Carbon Textured Surface
A newly developed Premium Japanese Toray nano-engineered 700K carbon textured surface that provides amazing spin, grip and feel on the ball. Multiple interwoven layers add strength, power and controlled pop.
Carbon Fusion Edge Technology
To improve robustness, durability and responsiveness the Six Zero Team have developed Carbon Fusion Edge Technology. Foam injection followed by a light-weight carbon seam fusing the top and bottom faces of the paddle results in a tighter crisp feel and an increased sweet spot that radiates around the paddle perimeter.
Premium Honeycomb Polymer Core

3D Carbon Forged Elongated Handle
To maximize strength and performance Six Zero engineers have designed a 3D carbon forged handle. The carbon face and fusion edge technology extends down the full length of the handle and is forged together under heat and pressure – 3D carbon. The construction is designed to reduce vibration, ensuring comfortable play and a responsive feel. The design allows for optimal flex, improving the paddle neck sweet spot. A tapered neck and a 5.5” elongated handle accommodates for double backhand players. The handle is finished with a premium custom Six Zero perforated leather grip with a 4.25” circumference – suited to all sized hands.

This paddle is excellent. Coming from a tennis background, I was looking for a paddle that would give me much more topspin than what is currently available and out on the market. In addition, I wanted that topspin along with a solid level of power, control, feel, connection, and, and good sweet spot without vibration. That is a lot to ask from one paddle....but it was something the 6.0 DBD 14mm delivered.
The paddle is very good out of the box, however, I did weight the paddle (bottom/up sides) to 8.35 which enhanced the paddle characteristics I wanted even more. I have yet to find a paddle that can do all that I ask as well as this one.

I have YET to find a paddle that can do all that this paddle can do. Coming from a tennis background I was looking for a paddle that would enhance my ability to put topspin on the ball while giving me a power profile. I also was looking for a paddle that had good pop while still maintaining solid control & feel. Having a more tennis skill set I love having solid connection to the ball, something you don't get as much of with more control paddles as they tend to have a more muted feeling on contact...that softness some people like. Me....I want that feedback....and I want it without unnecessary vibration. This is a lot to ask from one paddle...Topspin/Power/Fee/Connection/Control
The 6.0 Double Black Diamond 14mm did not disappoint. It was great out of the box. However, one suggestion though.
I added lead tape to the paddle on the sides and under the bottom curve. OMG....I noticed immediately that the paddle became even more solid and stable in feel and the sweet spot expanded. My tungsten tape on the edge guard starts from under the bottom curve 2” above the grip and goes 3/4 up to where the N is on the Diamond graphic.
As I mentioned, the solid feel was great out of the box on center hits…..but it is AMAZING with the lead tape on those same hits. The paddle becomes part of you with the tape on center hits. Unbelievable connection.
Slightly off-center hits are more solid with less feeling of twisting of the paddle with the tape. Now I’d have to hit the ball close to the edge guard to feel that unstableness.
This is an GREAT paddle...and even more AMAZING with lead tape. It will be very difficult to find a paddle that does so much. I LOVED it so much I bought 3 of them!!!
AND a BIG thanks to Hanna for all her help and care with my purchase. Hanna and this store is AMAZING. I am on the mainland in the U.S. and Hanna was great to work with. An EXCEPTIONAL person. This is the first time I have ordered from Maui-G and I will order from them again.
